U15 State Representative Team
After enjoying the challenge of the Gold Coast in 2009 the State Under 14’s were keen to tour as a group again. The players were committed to continue training and the parents were happy to fund if a trip could be organised. We were approached by Victoria Rugby Union and as a result a State Under 15’s side was formed to take on Victoria Under 15’s in a three match series.
The team was made up of last years State Under 14’s along will a few other high performance players brought in to add depth and competition for places.
While in Melbourne the players were billeted by host families so got to experience different family cultures and make new friends. The rugby was very entertaining and played at a high intensity as the lads got to take on a team that were equally as talented if not better.
Victoria’s size was noticeable along with at times sharper skills around the ruck and in general play. S.A rose to the occasion and played some passionate rugby which inevitably got us the wins in some very close games.
The trip was a big success and the squad learnt some valuable lessons about the importance of good decision making and capitalising when opportunities arise. With the right planning hopefully this newly developed relationship with Victoria Rugby Union will continue to grow with regular games against one another both home and away.

U14 State Representative Team
Under 14's Gold Coast Tour 2010
This year’s Under 14’s program provided players with the opportunity to increase their rugby ability and potential in a professional environment by being exposed to factors that are part of an elite rugby player’s life. This foundation will benefit the talented young players as they work towards the Under 16’s National Championships, Schoolboy Championships, Junior Falcons & Black Falcons honours and in their general life outside of rugby.
Players were exposed to coaching/mentoring from an experienced team, code of conduct, values & behaviours, dress code and advanced skill & game plan training. The group were also introduced to structures & analysis, strength & conditioning, nutrition & hydration and personal development.
