Community Rugby Day 2008

SA Rugby is holding the 2008 Community Rugby Day on Saturday 31st May at Parkinson Oval, Corner of The Parade & West Tce, Kensington Gardens. The day kicks-off at 11:30am and will be packed with state representative trials for all age groups, a gala day for the U8’s and U10’s and other children’s activities, culminating with the final round of this years Australian Rugby Shield when the Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons take on the NSW Country Cockatoos at 3pm.

State Representative Trials – Following the State Trial Day on Saturday 3 May, all age grade coaches have announced a squad to compete in an internal trial in the build up to the Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons match. For the exact timings, click here.

U8’s and U10’s Gala day – This will be run on the lower fields at Parkinson Oval, starting at mid-day and running until 2.30pm.

Children’s activities – There will be various organized activities taking place on the eastern side of the oval for all age groups, these activities will run from 11.30am through to 3.00pm and throughout the half time interval of the main game. In addition to these activities there will be a bouncy castle, a sausage sizzle and face painting throughout the afternoon.

State game – The main event, Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons v NSW Country Cockatoos, will take place on the main ground, kicking off at 3.00pm

Hospitality – There will be hospitality available in the Falcons marquee at cost of $50 per head. Group bookings of 10 will be at the reduced cost of $450. The hospitality includes entry into the Falcons Marquee for prime viewing of the match, a “My Butcher” BBQ Lunch and a drinks package.
