Expression of Interest for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Team Managers, Senior State Representative Program 2012
SA Rugby is currently re structuring & planning the State Representative Program for 2012. The continuing aims of the program will be to provide opportunities for high performance players to be exposed to competitive rugby at a higher level so that they can represent South Australia in representative games & at National Competitions. This will be facilitated within a professional environment by experienced personnel.
As a result we are currently seeking expressions of interest for 2012 Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Team Managers to cover the Men’s Black Falcons Squad, Men’s Under 20 Junior Falcons and the Women’s Southern Warriors. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- A proven record of coaching or managing successful teams at a representative or 1st grade level.
- Strong leadership & motivational abilities.
- Confident organisational & communication/feedback skills.
- A professional approach & attitude.
- Can develop a strong culture with values & desirable behaviours.
- Strong understanding of Rugby laws & knowledge of the game.
- Knowledge of the professional aspects of the game- preparation, analysis, strength & conditioning, nutrition & recovery.
- Ability to teach advanced rugby skills & deliver adaptive game plans.
- Able to run a budget & complete administrational tasks. (Managers)
It would also be desirable if applicants were:
- Smart Rugby compliant.
- Completed a Level 2/Level 3 Rugby course in the last 3 years.
Positions are volunteer based but will receive support & guidance from SA Rugby. Due to the timing of the programs all roles could be balanced with 2012 club coaching or management commitments.

Email should include a brief introduction about your coaching/management background & successes to cover the above attributes and your position/squad preference.
Expressions of interest that most closely meet the attributes required will be contacted for a discussion in early December.
