Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons in curtain raiser to Wallabies Test Match
The Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons will this weekend play against the Melbourne Axemen in the curtain-raiser to the Wallabies vs Italy Test Match at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.
This is the second match in as many weeks for the Vodafone Adelaide Black Falcons after they accounted for the Darwin Mosquitoes 39-33 on June 6 in the highlight match at SA Rugby’s Vodafone Community Rugby Day at Parkinson Oval.
This weekend’s match gives South Australia’s best players a great opportunity to play before the Wallabies and a chance to play in a world-class stadium.
South Australian Rugby Union chief executive, Lachlan Clark, said the match will be a great experience for all involved.
“You could not ask for a better opportunity for our State team. To play at Etihad Stadium in the lead up to the Wallabies is a dream come true for our players. The opportunity to play the curtain-raiser shows our young players what they can aspire to if they succeed in Rugby.”
