SA Rugby Brice Finals Series action begins this weekend

The SA Rugby Brice Finals Series kicks off at Bailey Reserve, Clarence Gardens this weekend, with Rugby action from South Australia’s Juniors right through to Women and Men’s Premier Grade.

Coopers Premiership Season minor premiers in the Premier Grade, Brighton, will take on Burnside in the first semi final at 3.30pm on Saturday. The second semi final will be played on Sunday at 3.30pm between old rivals Port Adelaide and Woodville. Brighton enjoy representation in the semi finals across all grades and finished minor premier in not only the Premier Grade, but also Reserve Grade and Third Grade.

Southern team Onkaparinga boasts representation in the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 semi finals.

South Australian Rugby Union chief executive, Lachlan Clark, said the 2009 Brice Finals Series includes a broad cross section of clubs in South Australia.
“It is terrific to see that we have 10 of the 13 South Australian clubs represented this weekend in the Finals Series from the northern Barossa Rams right through to Onkaparinga in the south.”

“The Brice Finals Series is a terrific opportunity for the sporting community of South Australia to enjoy some high quality Rugby at a very cost effective price, and we hope the public comes out in force to cheer on their favourite team this weekend.”

Admission on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September is $5 for adults, children under 16 free.

The Brice Finals Series continues on Saturday 12 September with the Junior grand finals and Senior preliminary finals and concludes on Saturday 19 September with the Senior grand finals. All finals are scheduled to be played at Bailey Reserve, Clarence Gardens.
