U16 National Championships
The State U16 team attended the Nationals in Sydney at Riverview College over the week of 4th October to 9th October. The played in the Second Division against Tasmania, Northern Territory and the National Indigenous Team.
The first two games saw SA produce exciting structured rugby, against committed opposition, firstly Tasmanian (65- 7) and Northern Territory (37 – 5). The final match v’s National Indigenous was being played for the John Eales Shield, but unfortunately the power and speed of the NI team proved to strong with SA going down 45 – 11.
The SA team was a credit to all involved both on and off the field, and this committed team effort ended up with UJ Seuteni being picked up by the National Talent Selectors for further development and opportunities nationally.
The under 16 side was coached by Mickey Seuteni and Gary Uili, managed by Brendan Deck , with physio treatment by Amit Bhutange.
