James Watson's U16 National Championships
South Australian and Southern Suburbs Under 16, James Watson, receivedthe prestigiousPlayer of the Championship awardat the ARU's National Under 16 div 2 tournament in Sydney, Sept 27th – Oct 1st. James was presented with his award by Wallabies Coach, Robbie Deans at the tournament luncheon awards. James has been invited to join the ARU Junior Gold Squad and train in Sydney after the New Year and also received a prize of boots, runners and ARU Junior Gold Squad training gear.
James has been at Southern Suburbs since he began playing Under 8’s as a 4 years old. James feels confident of increasing his skill and knowledge through the opportunity this award will provide and would like to acknowledge the support of his team-mates, coaches, club and family for providing him with the opportunities to play so well.

South Australia 25 (Tries: Tennessee Stocks, Ethan Uili, James Watson, Conv: James Watson 2, Pen: James Watson 2) defeated National Indigenous 17 (Tries: Eddie Wasaga-Thompson, Robert Kennedy, Dylan Holmes, Conv: Jaiyden Yeatman)
