International Rugby Sevens Adelaide - Bring your mates!
With a little over a week to go we would like to encourage everyone in the SA Rugby community to organise as many of their “non-rugby” friends as possible to attend the 2010 International Rugby Sevens Adelaide.
The Sevens is now in its fourth year and the event has been a wonderful showcase for Rugby in the State. The Sevens post-event survey states that ‘word of mouth’ is the important way people find out about Sevens.
The SA Rugby community is vital in continuing to encourage more non-rugby people to experience Sevens. In 2009, the event post-event survey showed that all but 11% of people attending the event were somehow connected with Rugby i.e. they played rugby, belonged to a club or watch Rugby on television.
The key message that we would like the non rugby community to understand is that the Rugby Sevens has a brilliant carnival atmosphere and is great fun to attend even if you don’t have a great understanding of the game itself.
There are fantastic prizes on offer for those that attend the Sevens in fancy dress and with ticket prices starting at just $17 it is great value.
For more information on how you could promote the Sevens to your friends and colleagues call the SA Rugby office on 7224 8150 or go to www.adelaidesevens.com.au
